The Jagar Dress is a printed jersey dress, crafted from buttery soft organic cotton. This effortless dress features an elegant round neckline and back keyhole opening. The bodice and skirt of the dress gather into a detailed wide rib waistband. Available in the Black Line Print - based on an original hand-drawn print by ELK's Brand Director, Marnie. Brought back with a contemporary re-imagining and crafted in organic cotton, an ELK preferred fibre. As Black Line is a yardage print, placement on the garments will vary.

Material

100% Organic Cotton

Cotton is a natural plant fibre. It is known for being breathable, durable and soft. Organically grown cotton avoids the use of harmful pesticides and chemicals in the farming process, helping to maintain good soil health, protect waterways and reduce nitrogen pollution compared to conventional cotton. The cotton fibre in this fabric was organically grown in India.

Manufacturer: Jimmy Fashions (Zhejiang, China)

We have been working with Jimmy Fashions since 2010. They are a smaller, independent supplier with a focus on design and quality, and this is one of our longest standing supplier relationships. With owner Jimmy Shen and his team working closely with our Design and Production departments, this family-owned business has grown with ELK and now supplies much of our woven apparel.

 In early 2024, Jimmy installed rooftop solar panels on his factory, and estimates more than 50% of the factory's electricity to come from this renewable source. The factory also undergoes annual SMETA social compliance audits, which are conducted by a third party and provide transparency into worker wellbeing and wages.

Size and Fit

The Jagar Dress is a relaxed fit bust due to the gathers at the waistband which create a blouson effect. The waist and hip of the garment are considered a regular fit.

All garments are measured flat (not on body) and then doubled (except the length) to calculate the total circumference. To work out what size will suit you best, flat measure an item that fits you well and use this as a guide. Please contact us if you have any questions or need more information.
